Austin-Healey is best known for its sports cars of the 1950s and 1960s. The cars are very popular for their stylish design, sporting performance and reliability in races. The Austin-Healey 3000 is one of their best-known models, which is very popular with car enthusiasts and collectors to this day.
In March 1959, the Austin-Healey 3000 entered the market as a further development on the 100/6 roadster. The new 3000 was equipped with a large six-cylinder engine, boosted to nearly 3 liters, equipped with dual carburetors and for the first time with disc brakes on the front axle. This first version of the Austin-Healey 3000, built between 1959 and 1961, we now know as MK I. Over 3 production years, a total of 13,650 units of the first generation were produced, spread over two versions: the BN7 as a 2-seater and the 2+2 BT7.
