Nostalgia Classic Cars is pleased to show the 1968 MG C.
From early in the design stages of the MGB there was an intention to create high performance variants and the MGC was the first ‘high performance’ version of the MGB. However, it was very much more than that, the MGC was a completely re-engineered car with visual connections to the MGB. Under the skin though the differences became obvious. They used an all-iron straight 6 cylinder 2912cc engine with twin SU carburetors, which produced 145 bhp at 5,250 rpm. They added a new torsion bar front suspension along with uprated braking. The gearbox was also a new stronger all synchromesh unit with optional overdrive.
Our car at the Nostalgia Classic Cars showroom is finished in ivory color, with Manual Transmition and 2,595 on the clock and comes with a beautiful black leather dashboard, black leather seats, wire wheels and Moto Lita steering wheels. The renowned British steering wheel maker over the years they supplied Sir Stirling Moss, Paddy Hopkirk (winner of the Monte Carlo Rally) Timo Makkinen (who drove using a Moto-Lita in the Mini Works Racing Team) the Sultan of Brunei and many car manufacturers like AC Cars, Shelby Mustang, Jaguar, Jensen, Tvr, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin used Moto-Lita steering wheel as original equipment for their cars. It takes around 12 man-hours to complete each steering wheel. Moto-Lita defines the meaning of the true British craftsmanship.
